Hebert's Boudin & Cracklins

Good food. Always hot and fresh. You can never go wrong about the food!! Well worth the stop!

Today, drove from Houston to get some boudin and cracklin. Store hours listed states store open until 7:00pm. When we arrived @ 6:50pm, a young lady was getting in her car. She greeted me by saying they were closed. When I questioned her 'why' because it wasn't 7:00pm, she then told me that they close at 6:45pm. I tried to appeal to her telling her we came all the way from Houston. Asked her if she would please serve us because it still wasn't 7:00pm.She only said that she was sorry cause her register was already shut down. She spoke to me the whole time from her car window and seem to only care about leaving. I'm very upset about wasting my time and gas. I love their product but felt this was pretty bad customer support and service. I understand sometimes business gets slow and sometines

Crackins not spicy enough for me. But that is a personal opinion. What I did not like was the grease running down my face after biting into it. Definately needed to be cooked longer to render out that fat.

Worst cracklins I've put to my mouth. Horrible experience! Boudin was terrible as well. Accidentally passed Don's (because I checked incorrect reviews) ended up here and throwing away $20. If you've never had cracklins or boudin before and want to try either, PLEASE PASS TO THE NEXT STOP!!!

The Boudin was mostly rice, it was very disappointing. At 5.49lb I expect it to have meat and seasoning. The cracklins were okay mostly had hard skin pieces with no meat. I will never waste my money here again.
