Herbie's Burgers

Grabbing a late dinner while traveling for work. Exciting to find this place as I could walk too it from my hotel and not worry about delivery and one that also offers GF substitution. I know its a burger joint but seriously to not do a lettuce wrap is nice (but they do offer that if you prefer!) Im not even done eating but this needs a review. Often Im getting thick dry buns when I go places that have GF substitutions.... but this was good, the burger itself delicious but to not have a dry gluten free bun was just heaven. I did a pick up order and it was being bagged up as I was walking in. Crew was friendly and efficient and welcome me in. Place is clean and plenty of seating if your with a friend group. Burgers are on par with Five Guys, if not better. Easily. Fries legit taste like McDonald's fries, I think they used the same supplier or something, and there's not a heart attack worth of salt on them. But enough to be enjoyable. Honestly this is my favorite local place for burgers period. Its become a regular for me and my partner when we want some takeout/ordered food.

Ordered delivery. The burger was perfect. The loaded fries were sub-par. Barely any onions and the box wasn't even completely full. The schenectady location tends to disappoint. If you want a good burger and good loaded fries consistently go to the Albany location! They are so friendly and the food is consistent.

This place is absolutely disgusting, maybe the ownership should visit with their eyes open, has the place been cleaned in months? Probably not if they have ZERO pride in their dining room they can't have pride in the food. Only diet soda available in the machine the cooler had only old style coke bottles and two bottles of water from Walmart. If you are hurting for money that bad you can't buy cleaning supplies and have beverages to consume just close

I was excited to try a local burger joint with a vegan burger. I got the Vegan Single. Vegan patty was basically a crunchy piece of black charcoal. When I tried to send it back I was told that’s how they come. I had asked if their vegan Herbie sauce had anything even remotely hot (spicy) in it, as cancer has left my mouth extremely sensitive to spice. I was told no. My mouth was burning afterward. I will not be back.
