Here's to Heroes

Being one of the only places after TSA to wait and have a drink before boarding a flight, we've frequented this location a lot. If you're concerned with cleanliness, don't. This place is gross. Dirty glasses rimmed with lipstick. Flies all over EVERYTHING. Mold and build up around ice bin. Air vent directly overhead is caked in dust/dirt. The food has been good but the cleanliness of what I CAN see makes me wonder about what I CAN'T. Just a heads up for y'all who might have standards! Lol

I always love coming here to get drinks before my flight home (I'm here in Norfolk very often for business purposes). Food is pretty quick and good and this is my go-to since Norfolk International Airport doesn't have an American Airlines Admiral's Club to get free drinks and food. Bartender was very accommodating this time so I would really recommend coming here if you have to be in the airport terminal A (A2 is my gate and it's right behind me). Just got recommended the chili (less expensive) over the clam chowder so the staff here are very honest. Chili bowl is a little small but it's really good. I'll always come here since theres no American Airlines Admiral's Club. Staff is always super nice and accommodating. I don't know what else I can say other than it's called "Here's to

The bartender customer service was great, they don't serve food yet but they did allow me to bring food from another restaurant just down the terminal to eat with my beer. Food service apparently stopped due to COVID-19. I normally don't come to terminal A but today was a flight from terminal A and this was the option available. I probably won't return too soon but we'll certainly check it out next time. They do have a pretty good beer selection, local beer from the Norfolk area.

We made a stop here as we waited for our flight to start boarding and did not have a good experience. The food took a long time to get to the table and after we got it, we had no utensils for an additional 5 mins. The dish came in portions, first the wings, then one chicken finger with fries separate. They are probably short on personal, or struggling with service, but it was not a recommended experience for a service needed in an airport setting.

The drinks worked and pour quickly. This is why they get 3 stars. However, they really were not too busy. Unfortunately, the bar tender was not helping the atmosphere. Starting at 6pm they turned away about 10 customers.
