Hester General Store

They’re open at last! Lots of hand crafted Nana goodies on the shelves for the holidays, penny candy for the kids, and coffee n ice cream. The ice cream is actually really good, not overly sweet, very creamy. We’ll be back to try breakfast out. When you go be sure to tap Bigfoot by the door for good luck, and ring the ship bell for good eats on the way out!

This place is the place for ice cream. Super affordable, huge helpings, friendly staff. If we lived around here this would definitely be our go to for ice cream. Plenty of flavors and they provide ice cream for events etc. Also has a little store area of various items made apparently by people in the community (as there was a lady there refilling the knitted little animals). They also have a small selection of old fashion candies (taffy, smarties, rock candy, honey sticks etc). Has some indoor (very limited) seating and a good amount of outside seating. You should definitely give this place a try, they beat the prices of any ice cream place we've been too in a long while. If we are in the area we will definitely stop by here again. Nice work ladies! Keep doing what you do!

I finally made it to Hester General Store! 🙌 First off, it is absolutely gorgeous!! Katie did an amazing job restoring this historic building, turning it into something really special. You can grab a coffee, snag some cupcakes and pie slices, do a little shopping from their well-curated selection, also partake in a photo op outside…LOVE the mural!!! 🥰 I had a family gathering last night and didn’t want to show up empty-handed. Hester General Store came through with their pies. I got the Chocolate Pecan Pie and it was a big hit. Some commented that it was the best tasting pecan pie that they had ever had. Chocolatey with a touch of spice…and that crust. 🤤 Hester General Store is the kind of place that I would (and will) go out of my way to visit. It’s that special.

Hesters Store has the most amazing ice cream and service is top notch. Thank you guys for bringing this old building back to life!!!

Quaint,historical store which present owners have beautifully preserved. We are excited about their unusual flavors of delicious ice creams. Flavors change frequently. We have not been there during their coffee hours so can’t comment. Definitely recommend!
