Hickory Tree Turkey BBQ

Hickory Tree bbq is one of my favorite greensboro restaurants that I have been going to for years. (I went to the restaurant, not food truck today). I don't eat pork which is a staple in NC bbq. So, finding a place that I can literally have anything on the menu is amazing. I usually get the Crack N' Cheese which is creamy mac n cheese with turkey bbq and crispy turkey cracklin's on top. As usual, the staff was friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious. Obviously, I'm going back. Yum! I only gave a 4/5 on atmosphere because this is a take out only restaurant and they do not provide seating.

Fun idea for a restaurant! I had the Crack-N-Cheese dish which was a wonderful mix of crunchy, chewy and creamy. They put crispy turkey skin, turkey meat on Mac N Cheese and I’m all here for the splurge. The staff were really friendly and the owner was very personable. I highly recommend it.

I was met with a warm smile and friendly attitude. They were very patient and made recommendations for me and my family. I ordered the world famous Crack and Cheese Turkey leg. It was hot, tender and well seasoned. The amazing mix of the turkey, mac and cheese, sauce and turkey crackling was amazing. I high recommend if you are in the area you stop by. I will definitely stop by the next time I'm in the area.

I usually don’t leave reviews, but I have to give credit when it’s due. Everything was amazing from the service to the food. I ordered a fried turkey dinner with bbq sauce, mac and cheese and collards. All I can say is that WING!!!!!! 10/10! I highly recommend, and I’ll definitely be back whenever im in town!

I had such a good experience visiting; every time my family is in Greensboro, we always make sure to stop by. We really appreciate the substitution of turkey in the dishes as a healthier alternative to dishes we all know and love. The overall experience is lovely; there isn't a super long wait as they prepare food. Whether it's at the store location or through a food truck, the food is still great quality and so worth the money. If you're looking for a soul food place, this is it!
