High Ground Coffee

This is a super cozy coffee shop with delicious coffee and a calm and welcoming atmosphere. People from all walks of life were sitting and enjoying the coffee and food. We're not local to the town, but we enjoyed sitting with locals while it rained outside.

☕️ Cute little spot and cozy vibe. Ordered a 16 oz “large” hot oat-milk latte. Waited a slow, dalliance 25 minutes. Finally arrives… left me unquenched with two shots, leaving me craving a larger pull. Standard large lattes burst with three, so it felt like a shy medium bursting with cream. Left me craving more of a fuller pop. Beans are decent, oat milk steamed velvety, silky, and smooth, but the portion-to-shot ratio left me hungry for something thicker. Would slide back in if the “large” had the third shot it deserves and let me pop in and out with ease. Add after replied for management: Hi again! This is a such a lovely coffee shop!! I would honestly come here for the biscuits alone, but the coffee is great as well! There’s lots of space to work upstairs and down, and they have a great selection of board games downstairs. The staff is always friendly and helpful as well! Would definitely recommend if you’re in Starkville!

Great locations, especially with the downstairs and the games. But the actual coffee and food aren’t good. I’ve gone here a good bit and same rating. Coffee and always watery and overpriced. 9$~ for a 20oz WATERED DOWN matcha that I could either get smmth worth the price anywhere else in town for cheaper. The ONLY mediocre thing abt here is the sweets. Wouldn’t recommend. Tip for owners- switch to Umble coffee

I travel for work and am here on a business trip. I will definitely go back to this coffee shop going forward this week. The espresso beans are a great flavor, but what makes this the place to go is that they know how to steam their milk. It was frothy all the way to the bottom! I couldn't drink it fast enough :D
