Hillside Inn

The Hillside in Spokane is truly a gem. It’s our favorite locally owned spot for breakfast, and every visit reminds us why. The staff is always so welcoming, kind, and attentive (thank you Jackie for being so awesome), creating the kind of atmosphere that makes you feel right at home the moment you walk in. The food is consistently delicious, generously portioned, and fairly priced, a combination that’s getting harder to find these days. Whether you’re a regular or stopping in for the first time, you can count on a great meal and genuinely friendly service. We honestly can’t say enough good things about this place. If you haven’t been yet, go give it a try. You’ll be glad you did.

First time eating here and was pleasantly surprised by how warm, comfortable and clean the place was. Great service, very warm and genuine staff who knew their regulars. I had the lunch chicken fried steak. Nice, light crisp fry, not oily. The country gravy had a nice strong pepper flavor. Very satisfying. Hubby had the liver and onions, yes, by choice. He was overjoyed. Said it was really well seasoned and cooked and appreciated that it wasn't smothered in sauce as some places do. Also the rolls were wonderful!

Excellent value and kind friendly service. My kids loved the food and the classic car coloring pages! Charming, homey interior with no frills.

My dad and I went here for breakfast, since we’ve been wanting to go there on Saturdays, but it’s not open. Fortunately, I was off today (Friday), so we decided to go there. The waitress went above and beyond for not only us, but for roughly about everyone that was at the restaurant. The food was delicious, especially the chicken fried steak. Definitely recommended.
