I asked my husband to check out this spot after seeing an Instagram reel - the steak looked that good. We ended up ordering the signature XL steak with black pepper sauce, the slippery egg pork chop, and a Hong Kong milk tea. The XL steak was unreal. A full 12-oz cut and truly a bang for your buck. The pasta served with it was perfectly al dente, and the black pepper sauce was so good… very similar to Panda Express’ black pepper chicken sauce (in the best way). I’d probably order my steak medium-rare next time, but flavor-wise, it was excellent! The slippery egg pork chop was also really good. If you are looking for a true taste of Hong Kong, HK Alley is the real deal. We visited as a family and it immediately took us back home. The food was excellent: the Steak over Rice combo was savory and tender, and the Slippery Egg Chicken had that perfect, silky texture that is so hard to find elsewhere. My mom especially loved the Salted Egg Pineapple Bun, the perfect sweet and salty combo. The Coffee Milk Tea (Yuenyeung) was a highlight; the flavor profile was exactly like what you’d find at a traditional Cha Chaan Teng. My only small note is that the Hot Milk Tea could have been served a bit hotter, but the flavor was still spot on. Being from NYC, my mom was so thrilled to have found a spot like this. Came here with my family. The food and service was amazing and the manager was really nice when they accidentally made a mistake with our order. The black pepper steak and taro pineapple bun were my favorite. I'd say we ate our money's worth 😋

Had the opportunity to try their peppered steak and milk bubble tea combo. Highly recommend it; the flavored steak with the linguine underneath tastes so amazing. Far superior to many American restaurants’ pasta entrée. Give it a try when you get the chance. Definitely coming back again!

Saw many postive review so I gave it a try, ordered pork chop rice gratin with an egg, taste sooo good. Pork chop is crispy and juicy, rice is well cooked, and the portion is big, much better then many restaurants in Edison area. I saw their XL steak poster outside, looks awesome. They are a tips-free restaurant now, I will definitely come to try the steak next time.
