Hoboken Public Library

I can’t believe that it was my first time visiting this library and I am amused by how nice it is. It is combining the old and the new. The staff is so wonderful. The atmosphere is amazing but knowledgeable about the history and culture of the community is superb.

I’ve lived in Hoboken for more than two years, and I can honestly say this library never disappoints. Whether you want to read a physical book, explore art history, take your child to story-time, or simply lose yourself in a wide variety of titles — this library has something for everyone. I highly recommend getting a library card if you’re a local — it’s a great way to discover everything the library offers.

I’ve been wanting to visit this library for awhile (after reading so many good reviews here). Came today with my daughter & we were met with the most unwelcoming staff. Will not be coming back.

Please pull the freaking blinds down in the ladies bathroom. Felt like I was being watched. I also notice the same worker watching and staring at me why?? The flights of steps to get upstairs and leaving the library damn near tripped and fell. Lord have mercy. I can go on but ima stop.

A great Hoboken institution in a historic building. The 3rd floor children’s section is recently renovated and open! There’s a play area for kids as well. Great kids reading programs and resources as well.
