Holt's Sweet Shop Valdosta

My husband an I stopped by and visited this bakery for the first time around 3 years ago and we keep going back. It like a hometown bakery where you can go in and purchase a single donut or a dozen or more. We love everything they have that is cream filled. Besides the cream filled donuts I enjoy the blueberry jelly filled donuts. They are so delicious. They also sell fresh made whole cakes. A whole cake is too much for us but you can purchase 1/2 of your favorite cake as well. I recently purchased a 1/2 Italian Cream Cheese Cake for my Birthday. It was awesome. We have not tried the cookie selection yet but they have a good variety to choose from. Service is quick, easy and friendly. Great place to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Details first. I got a dozen donuts and eight cookies. The donuts were good, but I won’t get them here again. $19 is just too much for some donuts. There are options in town that are as good or better for less money. They had four different kinds of cookies and I got two of each. Three of the types of cookies were best described as okay, the fourth was an oatmeal cookie. I can’t say the oatmeal cookie was the worst cookie I’ve ever had, but it was the worst oatmeal cookie I’ve ever had. The counter help was either annoyed that someone came in on a Tuesday afternoon or was having a really bad day, maybe both. Either way, between the product and the service I’ll get my bakery items somewhere else in the future.

I recently visited the Hlts Sweet Sho at 3145 N Ashley St, in Valdosta, GA. I parked my car in the parking lot that has plenty of parking spaces. I then walked into the bakery and was quickly met and greeted by the gentleman working behind the counter. He then walked me around all the selections and answered the questions I had. I purchased a half of a German chocolate cake and several lemon squares. All delicious.

Delicious and fresh! Donuts are delicious.... I would pass on the cakes though. I stopped while passing through to home in Florida- the lid wouldnt stay on my half sized cake so it wasn't very pretty- the soft and flavorful donuts set the bar too high for the cake. Save your 15 20 bucks on that.

We got a assorted dozen of donuts, all of them were really good and especially the cinnamon apple donut that the employee recommended to try was amazing. Plus, we also got a velvet cake, and the cake was soft, tasteful, and the icing was sweet, not pretty, and it was nice that it was cream cheese base because I feel like a cream cheese base icing for red velvet just pairs the best.
