Home Plate Deli

Being fairly new here, my sister and I heard so much about this deli. I don't do deli's. How grateful I am, than I changed my mind! Home Plate Deli's food, atmosphere, and overall existence is beyond PHENOMENAL. Tucked neatly in Ulster County, NY the food is sooooo good! I was pleasantly surprised and in awe. It's cooked and served well, freshly made, well seasoned, and is a chock full of deliciousness. The entire staff is so wonderful and friendly; Owners: Shannon & Abe, Cashiers: Jurnee & Tina, Cook: Steve, Line Cooks: John, Martin, & Wilson, Salads: Mary & Elizabeth, Delivery Drivers: Ross, Genern, & Alice, and the Court Jester: Marvin - An AMAZING Team!!! I drive for the county transportation system in kingston. My brother from another mother, Stephen, is a cook here. Amazing guy, very friendly and courteous, always with a smile and as well as the other employees there. GREAT group of people that work there and the place is always crowded. Here is a picture of my philly cheese steak that Stephen prepared for me today...very delicious!

Everything has gone down hill since they have been bought out…. Example home fry’s use to come with peppers and such. But besides that the food has flavor and a large was a large not a side snack amount. Very upset at the prices for the quality of food and I now remember why I stopped going there.

Can't find the meat on this sandwich! Now they say ask for a New York style? I ordered 4 sandwiches on a hard roll also got 2 drinks and 2 bags of chips all for 48 bucks and change. Can only imagine how much the New York style would cost.

I ordered a foot-long for Black Friday got it had a piece literally was hard. I called to tell them they said they had to call the bakery and that was it didn’t hear back. Didn’t get offer a discount on the next one multiple people employees ate it, and also gave me the feedback that it was hard.
