Homer Community Library

I tell only the truth. This library deserves six stars. They do an incredible job considering they have such a tiny impact on local taxes. And the librarians will do anything to help anyone. The rest of Homer like the fire district and the school district and the TIF are lighting money on fire like they're running out of time, without the results you'd expect from the money. But they did get rid of the Chief Jerkwad Bogus Speeding Ticket Police Department. That was a wise move by the village to quit wasting money on a guy who was known to just harass people he didn't like and additionally was so unprofessional the one time I ever got stopped I couldn't believe what I was hearing with my own ears. Anyway, now that he's gone I'm doing business with a few companies located in Homer again, so

This is a wonderful small local library with a terrific children's/junior/young adult selection and multiple computers for public use. There is a large video collection and a good variety of classics and contemporary adult fiction and non-fiction. Seating is confidante. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the librarians are first rate!!

Very well kept and clean. They work very hard to keep it organized. Excellent kids programs and educational resources.
