We were in the mood for some comfort food and this place did not disappoint. We went pretty late and some of the food choices were no longer available so I suggest that you go early. It seemed the locals are aware of the treasure they have here. Some of the items we tried were fried chicken, baked chicken, mac n cheese, turnip greens, rice with gravy and green beans. We also had rolls and cornbread and sweet tea. The baked chicken, cornbread and mac n cheese were some of the best we've ever had. The kind that makes you wish you had the recipe. In fact, if they see this review... please send me recipes. Everything was good, but those were just our favs. In a nut shell, the food is made with love and served with sweet southern hospitality. Unique, down-home feel. The lady cooking was super friendly, helpful, & very patient answering all of my questions. I felt like I was at my grandma's house. I had fried pork chops, mashed potatoes, collard greens, yams, and the most moist, sweet cornbread I've ever tasted. My momma don't even cook this good. We will be back!!

Enjoyed my experience here! Truly down home cooking! Purchased fried chicken, red beans and rice, Mac n cheese, and baked beans.. husband liked everything esp the red beans and rice. Said the chicken was a little salty.. I had the fish (4), Mac n cheese, rice and gravy, and okra. Enough food for the whole entire day! I highly recommend!

Best soul food in town everything always so hot and fresh. Even if she run out of what I want she have no problem making what I want. Definitely gone be in and out.
