Theres only a handful of Chinese BBQ meat places left in Chinatown. Its a small area to line up, order and wait for your food, so youll often see a line of folks outside. They punch out the meat very quickly. You can order the 1, 2 or 3 meats on rice which is huge portion and great value for lunch or dinner. Or if youre feeding the family, we love getting whole roast duck, 1lbs of crispy pork or 1lbs of roast pork char siu to bring home. For the meats, you tell them how much lbs of meat you want just like at a local deli. Then they have to wait for the butcher to chop the piece and weigh it out, they charge you what the piece weighs before they cut it. This is what can take a while when you order because its a lot of back and forth between the register and the butcher. Its worth it. The cr
We sampled three of the rice meals so that we could get several kinds of meats and everything was great! Authentic Chinese food with a cherry on top! The roasted meats were done well, the service helped us pick out our meals, and many people were in and out (take-outs mostly, several pick ups and a few dine-ins). You could tell it was THE spot for a lot of people chasing that IT factor. Overall, we'd go here again!
Hong Kong Eatery serves up some really satisfying Cantonese flavors, especially when it comes to their roast meats. The roast pork is flavorful, tender, and juicy, easily one of the highlights of the menu. Their crispy pork is also tasty and has a nice crunch, though I wouldn’t say it’s the best compared to other spots I’ve tried. Still, the overall quality and flavor make it a solid choice for anyone craving good roast meats.
Classic Chinatown spot for roast meats. The roast duck and crispy pork over rice were flavorful and came in generous portions. The setup is straightforward—order at the counter where you can see all the meats hanging, then enjoy hearty comfort food that hits the spot. Service is quick and efficient, exactly what you’d expect from a no-frills eatery. The pork is good but duck is a bit greasy.
3 stars rating means good. Roast duck is great, but the other meats are serve cold for some reason. Rice is good, but it taste like in the brinks of being expired. Place is small. Doesn’t have many tables for dine in. The restaurant has a China-smell to it. Someone referred me to this place. Would I return? Yes, but not my first choice.
