Strip mall restaurant that sells and serves fresh fish. Had swordfish filet, tomato basil rice, and slaw Saturday, came back with coworkers Sunday and had fish and chips. Both meals were fresh, tasty, at a $20 price point. Have another week of travel planned, hope to get another meal or 2 in before we go.
This place is hands down the best fish I’ve had in the states! The only other best I’ve had was in England and that’s hard to beat. The service is phenomenal the staff worked very hard and with smiling faces. The place was packed and for good reasons! The tartar sauce was delicious! Wish I had a bigger appetite to try more while I was there. I’m from Ohio so sadly won’t be able to get more, but I highly highly recommend this if looking for good seafood!
Nice little hole in the wall. Food was good. I had the deep fried oysters appetizer. The bigger oysters had a better oyster to batter ration than the small oysters. The smaller oysters had too much batter relative to size. The mahi mahi was excellent. Cooked perfectly and the garlic seasoning was good. Salad was good. The Yamato basil rice was really tasty. Atmosphere was unique. Counter service was awesome!
"One bite & you're hooked!" OUTSTANDING food, eclectic & amusing decor, and accommodating staff make put this strip mall shop superior to any of the waterfront places I have ever visited. It compares well to The Lure, for half the price. The variety in the menu is simply incredible. The oysters were so large they wouldn't be swallowed raw, so the crew fried them for us, cheerfully. The calamari was perfect, breaded and cooked just right. Trout from Idaho was as fresh as if I caught it today. The "chips" are actually worth eating, too. My consistent practice is to withhold reviews until I have been to a place three times. Today's review is based on two visits, but I have absolute confidence in this 25 year old establishment. Location a little unappealing. The workers not friendly. Ordered the red snapper and fries. Not impressed. Unfortunately the fish tasted old and greasy but meaty. The fries were frozen fries. A little disappointed with the atmosphere, didn't look clean inside.
