Hot Dog Beach

Great place we stumbled upon that had smooth sand and gentle waves the day we went. I'd definitely go back again. Just be sure you are a resident or else you'll get a $100 fine like I did because I didn't see the signs.

To be honest I was a little let down.... I visited this beach for the 1st time on a very nice summer weekend with my 3 Dachsunds. For some reason I was made to believe that this was a meeting place for these type of dogs or for dogs in general. Even though it was quite difficult and expensive finding a hotel room in the Hamptons on labor day weekend the 4 of us had a good time, Despite no dogs being allowed on that beach it looked really nice from the parking lot.

We drove over an hour an a half to get to a beach that supposedly allows dogs only to find out they don't. The $40 parking fee is a little excessive as well.

Beautiful beach, great tradition on Dune Road.
