Howarth Park Restrooms

Restrooms were closed April 16th, 2025. I wonder if it's due to having less state funds and less park Rangers. They had a clean, well-stocked honey bucket in the upper parking lot near the playground.

1 star because they are CLOSED FOR WINTER even though there's no snow or ice. They did not update their "business hours" and the only sign that says they're closed is on the building itself. Why have a park and a trail but NO AVAILABLE RESTROOM?

Open as of 7 June. Metal flush toilets - the kind with no seat. The toilet paper and soap were stocked.

I'm about to see if they keep them unlocked at night. Crossin my fingers cuz omg there's nowhere 🥺🥺 .... A few minutes later.... Ok I chickened out 🥺. Dang IT :( I'll figure you guys. Please don't worry about me ok 🖤🔮☠️🖤🤘 Oh yeah... I do love this park and walking through the little forest (its blocked off and against "the rules" to venture down those hunka chunka stairs and over the rickety, spooky board walk ish bridge things) all the way the the beach access. Very nice forest stroll. ☺️🌲 Along the way... You might see Groot. Think that's the dudes name? No its not a person that lives there, silly, it's the remains of a beautiful tree that just so happens to be scarred in the form of a face. Groots face! 2nd time I've witnessed such tree remains. Odd. Saltwater state Park
