Hunter Valley Restaurant

Found this small hidden place while traveling thru PA. Arrived and the place was empty. We stayed and were pleasantly surprised with the food. Loved the different menu choices, from duck, rabbit to moose. I ended up with a steak and arugula salad it was very good. All the food was good. Nice casual place that is definitely worth a try. I would definitely try to go back and try again!

The name and website are a bit deceiving regarding the size and atmosphere of the restaurant - I almost thought we would be a bit underdressed, but the establishment is small and super casual. The menu is large and everything we ordered was excellent, with probably the best sweet potato fries I've ever had. The portions are large and the food was very filling. Our waitress was funny and personable and made some excellent dessert recommendations. Would definitely come back for a burger the next time I'm in town.

This place is 5 stars across the board!! My 2 friends and I went out to dinner last night at Hunter Valley. First off, our waitress, Marissa, immediately welcomed us with a very friendly smile and told us to sit anywhere. We sat closest to the heater and again our waitress was so sweet and funny as she came over to give us menus and take our drink orders. She gave us some poplar options (the menu is very big) and she was so patient with us. When the food came out, everything was delicious- the appetizers, entrees, and dessert! All amazing! Plus, the timing for it all was perfect. We were the last table to leave. Marissa stood and chatted with us for a little while. She was very impressive work wise and her personality is just adorable. Our party of 6 stopped for a late lunch. The menu is extensive and full of interesting things. We had moose strogonoff, rabbit stew, and chicken dumplings. Everything was very tasty and portions were generous. Highly recommend!

This place is absolutely amazing, a local owned business with a very diverse menu the waitress’s are very kind and the the food was absolutely beautiful and delicious
