Cozy and welcoming vibe! I tried their Espresso Bloom signature drink — it was a bit too sweet for my taste, but it kept me energized and awake all day. I wish the toast had been crunchier, but overall the food was delicious. The quesadillas, in particular, were hot and flavorful. The person handling orders was so kind, which made the experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming by often for breakfast and coffee!
I absolutely love Huya! The owner, David, is so friendly and always remembers a face. Their breakfast options are top tier as well as their coffee! Nothing like being able to get a custom creation or a classic drink any visit. Get the Boudin pop tart, you won’t regret it.
I used to regularly spend time here to enjoy good coffee, good bites, and friendly staff. Sadly, all have gone down. Over the past few years, I have found the staff to be super unfriendly and more concerned talking to one another and the coffee and food sub-par. However, I tried to stay supportive thinking it may change. Today, when I walked in, the slim guy with dark hair and glasses said no hello, no thank you, and just slid my order on the counter, which tasted awful. He was more concerned talking to the guys on shift. I never experience this at Reve Coffee over in River Ranch or downtown on Jefferson - they actually engage with customers and have great coffee and food as well. Things are too expensive these days to put up with any business unwilling to the nail the basics - good s
Very nice coffee shop. We stumbled on the fact that they made boudin poptarts. So our curiosity got us and we adventured to try them. I am happy to say they are very good. The loaded version is awesome as well. It has a fried egg and is topped with a sriracha mayo.
The pour over was really good though, it tasted better than your typical black coffee. I tried the matcha latte, I’m used to them being made with espresso shots, so I added it, and it was not a very successful drink- I drank it for the caffeine. I wish the menu had prices on it, bc it’s an expensive little cafe. The strawberry pop tart was good. $12 seemed a little pricy for a basic sandwich on wheat bread and a coffee. I did not care for the pale, soggy hash brown. This place was packed at 10am on a weekday. There are lots of outlets, encouraging you to stay and do some work.
