Ichiban Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar

We have been here twice now and haven’t been disappointed. Both times we were sat and served quickly. We do the hibachi dinner and sushi and the cooks and servers are all knowledgeable, well trained and friendly. The sushi is fresh and they have a great selection of rolls to choose from. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for Japanese cuisine or a casual date night.

Today was me and my boo first time at this establishment. We are both black women for context. I found this place on google and looked up the reviews. Checked the website for their menu to get an idea of what we would want to eat . I called and made a reservation the lady asked me how many and I told her two for 8pm. We showed up checked in and it was about 10-15 min wait for the hibachi side. A lady showed us to the table and we were about to sit down but she said we couldn’t pick the chairs directly in front of the grill , we had to sit on the side which had us very confused. Because we were there first and the only ones at the table which lead us to look around the room. The Sashimi is okay, price to proportion is good, doesn't taste as fresh as I like, but still good. Ordered the Filet and Chicken Hibachi and upgraded to the fried rice for 1.99, but soon regretted that decision as the fried rice is just some egg and seasoning mixed together and is very salty. The miso soup was basically water with a dash of green onion and mushroom, very little soy in it. The Hibachi filet while tender, wasn't very tasty. The seasoning mix they use misses a little here. I was expecting a garlic butter like most other Hibachi restaurants, but it doesn't even have a buttery taste at all... Much less any garlic. Entertaining & Delicious! We enjoyed the food & chef skills at the hibachi grill table. Our group of 8 ordered a variety of food and it was all delicious. Steaks were tender, shrimp, chicken, lobster, scallops, salmon all flavorful as well as their famous fried rice. Veggies were also cooked to perfection. Waitress was attentive and friendly and the prices reasonable. The evening was a treat - we’ll be back 👍

We’ve eaten here for years and always enjoyed it. Great staff fresh sushi, good hot sake. last Wednesday after we put in our sushi order A cockroach ran across our table and we caught it underneath our water cup and informed management they instructed us no pay that we could go without paying for our sake unfortunately, we could tell that they were aware of the roach infestation.
