Ichiban Sushi

Sushi chefs very friendly, they drink with us too. Everything so fresh. Atmosphere is super chill. The sushi was amazing I will back for sure High recommended 🙏❤️

I was craving sushi and was looking for a place that was open even though was kind of late. I immediately started "Searching open suhsi right now", it was kind of already late so just a few were open including Ichiban Sushi. I decided to try Ichiban Sushi. The minute you walk in you are greeted. At the time it was pretty empty so i was seated right away. I like the sushi the green tea very friendly staff they are too cool. Sure recommend this place...

This is a small restaurant near Downtown Downey and the Look in movie theater. There's a parking structure across the street. The place was calm and not too noisy when I went. There was no wait either. I tried their Arnold Palmer and didn't enjoy it since it wasn't sweet and seemed watered down by all the ice. The short ribs came out sizzling. They were great. The sushi was okay. I'm not a big fan of spicy tuna and almost every roll had it. I tried it anyway and it wasn't for me. Then I ordered a customized roll (for a fee) where I substituted the spicy tuna for avocado. I enjoyed it. My partner had a beer and they brought him a tiny, cute cup. Lol Customer service was great. They were very attentive and efficient. They greeted us, checked on us a few times and said goodbye as well.

Super friendly staff. Sushi is good proportion and tastes fresh. Local Uni is very good. Did not get to try Korean items on menu. I've eaten there several times and enjoyed myself each time.

Fresh food and a clean environment. We were greeted at the door and sat quickly. I highly recommend the oyster shooters here. The husband thoroughly enjoyed it. It was somewhat expensive but sushi usually is. We had seaweed salad, Alaska roll, hot tea, 2 beers, 2 piece jumbo scallop, 2 oysters, 1 oyster shooter and 4 baked mussels for $79. I am eating the leftovers right now. Mmmmm.
