Best Chinese restaurant I've ever experienced. Spectacular and exquisite setting with tons of fresh flowers, red banquettes. Exceptional and memorable service. We had the Peking Duck, the cauliflower and truffles and the bean with handmade noodles and beef broth. The Peking Duck was positively dreamy and sumptuously cooked, prepared and served. The bean noodle beef broth dish was like nothing that we had ever tasted and was delectable. The cauliflower and truffle dish was surprisingly heavenly, satisfying and very memorable. This restaurant is sheer perfection from start to finish. Service overall was impeccable and our waiter, Yuki (sp?) was highly attentive, patient, kind and even ran out of the restaurant to flag down a cab for us since the room was empty when we left around 4p.m. Great
We’ve been to the original Quanjude in Beijing’s Qianmen district several times and this duck is just like it! Best I’ve had outside Beijing. The other dishes are also flavorful and not dependent on salt to make them work. Yoki, the assistant manager is so attentive, courteous and a great photographer! This is now our favorite Chinese restaurant in NYC. A very old school, high end vibe. We’ll be back! 👍👍👍
I’m in NYC from out of town for a few days. I made a reservation for the tasting menu for $198 and it did not disappoint. Two people could easily share this option and be completely satisfied. The Duck was the star of the show. The crispy skin dipped fat side down in some granulated brown sugar melted in your mouth! The lobster was equally amazing as you get a full lobster that tastes fabulous! The pan seared Croaker was the surprise of the dinner! The mushrooms and red wine reduction paired perfectly with the fish and eggplant! Apps were also amazing! Eric is an amazing server who guides you along your food journey with tons of tips and information! This is a must if you enjoy fine very traditional Asian dining of any sort!!
If you want true 5-star Chinese fine dining, iDen & Quanjude is the place to go. Food: • The soup is outstanding—they carefully select the best parts of each ingredient and slowly simmer everything into a deeply flavorful, comforting soup. • The appetizers are excellent, offering four different selections, thoughtfully designed to progress from lighter flavors to richer, more intense tastes. • If you’re looking for Peking Duck, this is absolutely the place. The duck is perfectly roasted, beautifully presented, and carved tableside—an experience as much as a dish. Service: • Special thanks to William, who provided exceptional service. He helped us take photos, explained each dish in detail, and carved the duck right in front of us. • He checked on us multiple times to make sure everything
I came here with my family to celebrate my sister's graduation, apparently I had been to the Beijing one as a kid, but it was a completely different experience. This one opened up in NYC around 6 months ago, the original being in Vancouver and Michelin Star. We ordered a shrimp appetizer, wagyu beef dumplings, and the Beijing Zhajiangmian to complement the duck. They ask to order the duck in advance, and we did exactly that, but we still had around a 40-55 minute wait time before it could be served to us. I did not try the shrimp, but it looked OK, more like something you would get at a chinese fast food or takeout joint. The dumplings were pretty good, for me the taste of beef especially wagyu is very strong. By the time they had brought out the handpulled noodles, the texture was not rig
