Its a pretty good korean/chinese food place. Portions were good and the price was decent. Best to bring the family for all the family size portions they serve. They also have a cream jjampong which surprisingly was delicous and I would recommend anyone who likes creamy style noodles a try atleast once. Will definitely be coming back often to try all the other dishes since the first time wowed me.
great spot for good korean-chinese classic dishes! i’ve been here twice and never been disappointed. the portions are pretty good for the price and we didn’t need to wait too long for fresh hot food. the fried dumplings are super crispy and pairs great with the dipping sauce. absolute best combo is the jjambong & jjajangmyeon! the tang su yuk is super crispy with the perfect sweet & sour sauce. i do wish that the pork was salted just a little bit other than that everything is consistently good. highly recommend coming here for classic korean chinese comfort food.
I recently learned about this soup and decided to try it at II Poom Hyang, and I’m genuinely so glad I did. From start to finish, the experience felt thoughtful and well executed. I ordered the Sam Sun Jjamppong, and the broth was incredibly flavorful, rich, comforting, and fresh without feeling heavy. Every spoonful tasted balanced, which really stood out. The noodles were a highlight for me. Perfect texture, not overcooked, and they held onto the broth beautifully. What I really appreciated, though, was the helpful note they included on the box, reminding you to pour hot water over the noodles and remove them after 30 seconds. That small detail made such a difference and showed how much care they put into making sure the dish is enjoyed the way it’s meant to be. It was honestly so appre
I tried the new cold Jjamppong, and I really enjoyed the balanced flavor! It was served in a nicely sized bowl, which made it feel just right. The only thing is that the noodles became a bit hard in the cold broth. If they were cooked just a little more, it would be perfect. Also, it might be helpful to have scissors to cut the noodles when you order this dish.
Conveniently located near Lowe's and Burlington in Fairfax, this Korean-style Chinese restaurant serves good Jjajangmyeon (Black bean noodles) and Tangsuyook (Fried pork with sweet sauce) that are generously proportioned. The decor is a bit old, but it is a good restaurant to visit when you crave these dishes. Update: 05-11-2025 I visited again for Korean-Chinese lunch after some time, and I noticed a significant improvement in the food quality. The food we ordered was fantastic, and the house-made noodles had a perfect texture. The decor is still a bit dated but remains clean and tidy, and the prices were very reasonable for the portions and quality of each dish.
