Imelda Happy Tamales

The first time I came in, i ordered albondigas. Now im very very picky with albondigas. The first bite i took, i was blown away! The best albondigas ever! The meat balls were very soft and tender with each bite, and the potatoes were amazing with flavor! And the second time I came in, I ordered the green spaghetti. I’ve never had green spaghetti before and let me tell you, that first bite I took wasn’t what I expected.. it was more than what I expected. It was very delicious and nice and saucy! The first 2 times of coming here was very satisfying and I don’t regret it. I look forward on coming the 3rd time and the 4th time and so on so I can try everything else on the menu. They even serve breakfast!! Can’t wait to try that too! But I bet it’ll be delicious! I’ll post an update when I come

I had the honor of trying these tamales at the festival held at Westgate about a week ago. I had the green chicken Tamales and a spinach and cheese one. I also tried the sweet potato one. The green chicken tamale was HANDS DOWN mine and my husband's favorite and we tried some from each stand. The chicken was super flavorful and the masa was as well! My only thing I'd recommend, is a bit more masa in the tamales. That way it's a perfect masa to meat ratio. Maybe they usually are, the ones I had needed bit more. However, flavor wise they were perfect! I loved the spinach and cheese one, it was delicious and had a good taste for it being just cheese and spinach. I ate it with an egg the next morning. I don't like sweet potatoes, but my husband does. He liked the flavor, but said he'd hope it

These tamales are the best I've ever put in my mouth! I cannot wait to try everything on the menu!! I got the green chili chicken tamale with rice and beans. The masa was so light and "fluffy". The meat was seasoned to perfection and the rice was aromatic and flavorful as well. Even the refried beans were so flavorful and delicious. Now that my lunch is finished, I wish I had ordered a dozen tamales just for myself. It was sheer perfection. I would give them 10 stars if that was an option. I don't know if I can eat tamales from anywhere else now. Trust me when I say YOU NEED THESE TAMALES! Imelda is also very community minded and gives back through her business and public service. You guys were at the tamale festival at westgate and you were the first and only vendor I went up to, to try your tamales. Your set up caught my attention first! I had your green chicken tamales and it was very delicious! Very nice and helpful workers as well. Thank you! (I hope I win your dozen tamales for my family!)
