I found this place because of the great reviews and wanted to try a good bowl of Pho. Let me tell you right away: get the small size! After ordering, I saw people at the next table asking for takeout containers for their leftover Pho, and now I understand why. I ordered the chicken pho for $17. The portion was enormous, but honestly, I’d recommend the small one for $12, it’s definitely enough. The broth was a bit too salty for me and didn’t have that deep, rich flavor I usually expect from Pho. There was a lot of chicken and noodles, though, so it’s a hearty bowl. The place itself is spacious with plenty of seating, but our table wasn’t very clean when we sat down. Service was quick, probably because it wasn’t too busy. Overall, not the best pho I’ve had, but not bad either, a solid 4 star
Simply, great Vietnamese food in New Brunswick. The restaurant is simple and a popular place for takeout but great to eat in as well. The pork and shrimp spring rolls (A4) are massive and delicious, paired with an excellent peanut sauce. We both ordered bun (noodle bowls) which were MASSIVE and covered in “toppings”. LOVE that many come with a little egg roll as a part of the bowls, but the noodle bowl with grilled chicken, shrimp & eggroll (N5) was full of protein and the vinegar fish sauce “dressing” was perfect with the vermicelli rice noodles. Highly recommend and looking forward to coming back.
My obsession with Pho began here, then I tried their Chicken Banh mi Sandwich and their shrimp spring rolls with mint and bean sprouts and peanut dipping sauce. Please dip the chicken banh mi sandwich in the peanut sauce. Trust me
the food wasn’t good at all. ordered chicken pho. although quantity was good, the taste of the broth wasn’t pleasant. the rice noodles weren’t as tasty as expected. have had better vietnamese food. the place was quiet and the server wasn’t warm/friendly. very pricey too. the thai iced tea could’ve been better.
Nice Vietnamese food place. Our order was brought at lightning speed!! We loved the chicken noodle bowl (Bun) and also the chicken soup bowl (Pho). The soup was hot and perfect for the weather while it was wet & cold outside. The noodle bowl came with a fresh & crispy spring roll. Both dishes had mint leaves, which gave a nice flavor boost. The place is located in a downtown area and the parking can be a challenge to find. We were able to park a block down and walk over on a Saturday. Not sure how it will be on a weekday. Overall, nice place to try out.
