Inn at Schoolhouse Creek

Perfect location for traveling along Highway 1!|Easy checkin and instructions. Stayed in Tansy Cottage which was very private with a seperate bedroom and a very vintage feeling. You can see the ocean from all windows across front of cottage. Had a large deck porch with chairs. |We had our furbaby and was welcomed with a dog welcome bed, bowels, treats, bags, sheets and towels along with a letter to my dog :)|Great property very clean and well kept. Definitely will be back.

An awesome little place to stay—the other reviewer who described it as shabby chic was exactly right. Great communication throughout the stay and check-in and check-out instructions were clear. We stayed in the Garden Cottage and it was clean, peaceful and very cozy. One of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in (and I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels). We were in Mendocino for the weekend with our dog and upon arrival there was a whole set of dog supplies in our room along with a letter addressed to our dog. It is not a five-star place (and it is not trying to be!) but it’s wonderful at what it does. If you’re looking for a cute affordable stay in the Mendocino area I highly recommend it.

We stayed one night and was very pleased with the Tansy Cottage. It is very private being at the end. Parking is directly nex to cottage. There are 3 step up to door but has a huge patch with a table and chairs for sitting and listening to the ocean which you can see from cottage. The Tansy cottage is a 1 bedroom with a kitchen and is supplied with everything you need. One plus was the space heater to use in bathroom during cooler months. Loved the propane "wood" burning stove. Definitely will stay again.

The inn is conveniently located near the town of Mendocino and we enjoyed a mini vacation in the area. We had the two bedroom cottage which is really spacious for the three of us. There’s a fully functional kitchen, a huge bathtub. The beds are clean and comfortable.

When the hotel we originally booked for our family vacation screwed us over at 6pm, I was searching for a replacement for a our family of 4 and 2 dogs. I saw this place had one cottage left, and when I called, a really nice man answered, and said he would have it ready even on our 20min notice. While driving, we received a text on how to get in, and when we pulled duo he was standing by to greet us and make sure we were taken care of. The rose cottage was super cute, and EXTREMELY CLEAN. I can't overstate how spotlessly clean this place was, not a speck of dirt, mud, hair, or anything else. Really impressive. Beds and linens are super nice, bath products are quality and plentiful, kitchenette was well stocked, ocean view was on point, and the mini bottle of wine was a nice touch. We enjoy
