Insomnia Coffee Co - Reed’s Crossing is a great no-fuss spot that does exactly what it should, and does it well. The desserts are simple and enjoyable, and the house brew is solid and satisfying. The staff are genuinely kind and welcoming, which immediately sets a relaxed tone. The space itself is clean, comfortable, and calming—an easy place to sit and unwind for a while. Clean restrooms are an added plus. Overall, a thoughtfully run café that feels warm, unpretentious, and easy to return to.
So glad I checked this place out. It's in the new Reeds Crossing area, which is really nice and has plenty of parking (which is a huge plus). Walking in, the first thing you notice is all the light from those huge windows. The vibe is super cool and cozy—they've got these vintage-looking chairs and sofas, a few simple chandeliers, and my favorite touch: coffee bags from different countries hanging from the ceiling. It just works. I even saw a table with a built-in chessboard, which I thought was a nice touch. I grabbed an Aztec mocha and a pastry, and the mocha was honestly delicious. The chocolate was rich without being too sweet, just perfect. This is the kind of place you can just post up for a few hours to work or catch up with a friend. The atmosphere is great, and the staff was reall
In my opinion, Insomnia as a whole is one of the best coffee shops in the greater Portland metro area. There coffee is roasted well, strong and full of flavor. I'm a big fan of their chai. It's a powder form to start and with espresso makes for a great drink both hot or cold. The atmosphere is cool, opting for reused woods and used tables and chairs to create a vibe unique to its own. I wish some of the pew like benches and chairs were a bit more comfortable however...not a huge take away. Either way...Whether you stay or take it to go...coffee is always hot and tastes good. The bakery and food that is offered is decent. Again...sometimes very fresh, sometimes a touch 'day old' - nothing out of the ordinary here. The coffee cake and egg/cheese sandwich are great. Staff is friendly and k
Decided to check out the new Insomnia Coffee location at Reed’s Crossing. Was a little bit disappointed with the service. Not quite as friendly as the Murrayhill location. And the latte art was lacking. The cafe latte did not come out as smooth or bold as the other location. Nice space though. Hopefully, the barista will be more trained to be friendlier and making a better cup of latte.
Great maple chai latte! Quiche was good too. Lots of great little oils to sit and enjoy coffee or meet a friend.
