Irie Caribbean Juice & Spice

I was a tad but skeptical with the restaurant especially since i checked the other replies and because of how late i was ordering the food, but my goodness they did not disappoint. The food is really good, the rice & peas could use a bit more work, but i'll cut them some slack considering how late i ordered. The plantains are good and sweet and the cabbage is good as well. I topped the rice with some oxtail gravy which was pretty good too. Much respect to the owners, keep up the good work !!

We had been eager to try Iris Caribbean Juice & Spice since its original opening, but it always seemed to be closed when we tried. So, imagine our excitement when we saw it available for delivery on DoorDash! We quickly placed an order, hoping for an amazing Caribbean meal. Unfortunately, our experience was a mixed bag, some highs but mostly disappointing lows. The Good: The highlight of our meal was the plantains and the cabbage that came with the jerk shrimp. The cabbage was seasoned perfectly, and the plantains were cooked just right: soft, slightly caramelized, and flavorful. Hands down the worst Caribbean food I’ve ever eaten. Boxed Kraft Mac and cheese, stew chicken tastes like it was stewed in ketchup. Everything lacks flavor. Rice and peas tastes dry and the cabbage has absolutely no flavor whatsoever.

My oxtails was not falling off the bone tender, and majority was fat. Too much money to spend on oxtails for it not to be good. I’ve had better. Won’t spend my money here again!

Service is good. I ordered oxtail, rice and peas and Mac n cheese. Very disappointed I was given boxed Kraft Mac n cheese. The rice was soaked in oil I couldn't eat it. Oxtail not flavorful and no oxtail gravy, just oil.
