Island Gyro Express

I had the privilege of eating at the most adorable little food truck tonight in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida. I have anaphylactic food allergies and TJ, the owner, was so kind and welcoming. My food allergies almost always prevent me from being able to eat. But TJ took time to talk with me in detail about my dietary needs and then made a couple of recommendations with a couple of minor adjustments. He recommended the Greek Salad minus the tomato’s and pepperoncini’s. He even made me a custom dressing of olive oil and fresh lemon juice to pour on my salad. He also allowed me to read the ingredients on the pita bread and shared the ingredients in the tatziki sauce with me. To my delight, I was able to eat the tatziki sauce with pita bread too. I ate like a queen tonight!! The salad was absolute

Okay customer service. Vegan option. Price is a little high for the taste of the food. They also run the açaí bowl truck from what it seems. Tables for 2-4 under a little shade. Walking distance to hotel so worked for us.

Grape leaves were the best I've ever had, even my husband liked them. Their gyros were delicious. Very friendly people and not a long wait for your food. An added plus is super easy access of the street and plenty of parking! Didn't have to wait in traffic. I recommend this place 100%

Had chicken gyro with unseasoned fries, chicken was edible not enjoyable, pita bread broke apart so I had to eat with a fork (I’m 80% sure this pita is from Costco, it’s very thick like regular bread) . It was very meh. However the Lamb gyro was very tasty but the pita bread again broke apart. Greek salad was good as well Enjoyed the hummus.

It cost us $25 for a gyro wrap (no side or plate) that was half filled and a small portion of cold babaghanouj. Taste was good but portion did not justify cost. Picture showed two gyro wraps, we only got one.
