Island Roti Shop

I have been going for 20 years, I also go to the popular ones, such as Singhs, Sybils, and Trincity Roti shops; I test all the roti shops in the area. This one is small, but they cook food from the San Fernando area in Trinidad, which the original roti and doubles were made when the Eastern Indians arrived in Trinidad 200 years ago. Guyanese and Northern Trinidad shops are good, but you know Trinidad food from San Fernando has a special touch. Enjoy their food, and ask for pumpkin with the dal puri roti, and the Dal soup, which all the bus drivers and workers run in quickly during the bus stop, it only takes a minute to buy. Definitely go here if you want to find bugs in your food while eating! I am genuinely so disgusted and will not be returning. I’ve always bought roti from here and never had an issue. While eating my food, I tore into my roti and noticed something dark. I thought it may be remnants from where they cook it but I zoomed in and seen LEGS!! I mean are you kidding me? I lost my entire appetite for dinner. The last photo you can visibly see the bug is stuck within the roti. I never thought i’d be so disappointed by this place.

I live in California I ordered some great food items that came safely and fresh not forgetting great tasting I am Guyanese as well but don’t know how to cook some of these really special foods I must give this restaurant a 5 Star rating and hopefully they will come and open a shop here in California.

This place is disgusting! All the employees sit outside, smoking, drinking, harassing the other patrons businesses for parking infront of their roti shop. Theyre harassing and disrespecting people of other ethinicity who are not Guyanese, which shows they have no sense of community. Because We are hispanic, we were called Mexicans who dont deserve to be in this country and were told to never park in front of their store. All this because we parked in front of their shop while we used the other establishments within the strip mall. Maybe if they paid more attention to the how dirty and disgusting this establishment is and properly clean it, the last of their worries would be if we parked in front of their disgusting shop.
