We had an excellent dining experience at ISTA Indian Cuisine – Southlake. They serve high-quality halal meat, and the freshness of the food was evident in every dish. The Chicken 555 was very flavorful, with chicken that was perfectly cooked—fresh, tender, and nut-free, which was a big plus for us. The Mutton Ghee Roast truly stood out. The meat was exceptionally tender and juicy, and we appreciated that they offer spicy versions for adults and a mild option for kids. It paired beautifully with their soft, bullet buttery naan. The Fry Piece Chicken Pulav was another highlight. The chicken was well-marinated and expertly fried, with spices that were perfectly balanced. We tried the Ista weekend lunch buffet in Southlake today ($15.99), and overall it was a decent experience, especially considering it’s a soft opening. Food review: Among the starters, the cauliflower fry and fried potatoes were good. The onion pakoda was a bit bland. Curry leaf chicken lacked the distinct curry leaf flavor, but the fish fry and chatpata shrimp were well done. I didn’t try the tandoori chicken, but my wife and kids said it was good. For the main dishes, Chicken Tikka Masala, Andhra Chicken, and Bunna Goat Curry were average. The chicken biryani stood out and was good. I didn’t try the desserts, but my wife and kids liked the rice kheer; the carrot halwa was okay. The masala tea could use some improvement. Authentic and tasty Indian food. Quick and friendly service. Food is served warm and many varieties are available in veg and non veg. Biryani n mirchi bajji stood out. We enjoyed all the dishes. Buffet price is $15.99 on weekends and includes fish fry, prawns, tandoori chicken, goat currry, paneer, mushrooms, naan, puri n biryani among other dishes.

We have visited this new place recently and absolutely delicious food—each dish showcased fresh ingredients and vibrant flavors, making every bite a delight. The menu has a great variety, and the presentation was just as memorable as the taste. Our appetizers and mains exceeded expectations, and the desserts were incredible. Service was friendly and attentive, creating an all-around fantastic dining experience. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking nice food while shopping in southlake.

I was here for a lunch buffet and the items provided were amazing!! They did provide a lot of items for $12.99. Taste: All the dishes were delicious. Service: The service was excellent! They were patient and polite. I honestly didn’t know there was a hidden Indian restaurant in Southlake with so affordable prices.
