Itamae is so good we ordered takeout for both lunch and dinner — because honestly, why make the drive twice? For lunch, we tried the sushi bowls, and “incredible” doesn’t even begin to cover it. Everything was fresh, beautifully balanced, and packed with flavor. By dinner, we were all in. The Massaman curry, salmon curry, and Pad Thai were each outstanding. The depth of flavor in every dish truly sets this place apart. It easily ranks among the best sushi and curry spots in the Pittsburgh area. We’ll absolutely be back — maybe twice in one day again.
Great experience! Loved our time. Have a bigger review to give for another time but for this time all I have to say is I had a great time. Chef Chance is a real one. He let us try something he experimented with earlier that day, fantastic off the menu recipe. We will definitely be back.
First time here after seeing a good review from Annie Eats and it did not disappoint! My husband and I love sushi and this was top notch. My husband got one of the sushi boats and I had the special lobster roll, as pictured. It was so fresh, delicious, and the presentation is a work of art. For desert, we tried the banana tempura and that was unbelievably yummy! Didn't get a picture of dessert since it was devoured immediately. It does have very limited seating so I highly recommend making a reservation on a busy night. I'm sure we'll be back.
Run of the mill experience. We had multi sushi rolls and pad thai. Everything was about a 6/10. No real variety to the sushi compared to many other spots around town. Pad thai had average flavor and left a lot to be desired. The overall atmosphere is bland and relatively uninviting. Service was average. Wouldn't actively return again but was fine for what it was. Did expect more though based on all the great things I've heard. It is BYOB which can be fun.
Not only were our poke bowls delicious, they were beautiful! The fish was incredibly fresh and the bowl itself featured so many nice flavors. I highly recommend this lovely restaurant.
