Izakaya Yagiya

10/10 recommend! This place was truly a hidden gem that offered elevated Japanese dishes. The chirashi bowl was beautifully presented with a generous amount of very fresh fish on top. The Las Vegas Yagiya roll also offered fresh fish and you could really taste the snow crab throughout. The takoyaki was rich with umami and definitely a must try. We ended the dinner with one of each dessert. Matcha pudding was creamy with just the right amount of matcha flavor and the monaka ice cream sandwiched between two wafers was the perfect ending to a beautiful dinner.

A hidden gem! The employees were so kind and genuine, and the place felt cozy and intimate. I loved their Japanese kitchenware. It really matched the food's presentation. Everything we tried was good, but our favorite was the karaage special. It came with egg salad on top, which I didn't expect to like since I don't usually order karaage, but it ended up being the best karaage I've ever had. The egg salad paired perfectly with it, even though I wouldn't have expected that combination. It's a great spot for a date, and I'm so glad we found it just by driving around. The restaurant feels homey, and you can tell the dishes are thoughtfully curated. We ordered the nigiri set, chirashi bowl, karaage special, omelette with eel, and ramen. Every dish felt special, and we were not disappointed.

I’m Japanese who loves to eat, grew up in LA and Japan where they have one of the best food in the world. Having said that, Oh boy, the food here was so delicious!! What I loved about is that the sushi, steak, dessert…just aced it in all the genres!! And what’s best is that it’s super affordable that your experience just exceeds. Friendly chef and staff adds plus to the great atmosphere too. The chef actually hand carry Monaka from Japan. You can tell how he is serious about serving the best food. Will definitely come back when I return to Las Vegas.

What a disappointment. We had family in town so organized a dinner here for six people for the last night. I’ll put the food aside for a bit. It’s a bit overpriced for what it is and portion size, but that’s not why I’m rating it so low. We ordered a bunch of appetizers to share and everyone ordered one entree each, ranging from hamburger steak, ramen, udon, and three chirashi. Six people, six entrees. First, my pet peeve is when things don’t come out in order. Appetizers came out in an orderly fashion, but then the udon came out. Then for 8 minutes, nothing else. So the person eating the udon was done. Then the ramen came out. Okay…? Another 10 minutes later, the hamburger steak came out. Then for 10 minutes, nothing. Just opened up! Nice interior. Kind of an upscale izakaya vibe. I really enjoyed the chirashi, wagyu steak, fried chicken, and Japanese omelette with eel. Excited to have a new place to eat near us. Highly recommend
