J Butler's Bar & Grille

Look, this is a bar and grill, set proper expectations for yourself and you’ll be surprised. They exceed them! Abby is a super pleasure to sit with and socialize as she takes such good care of you! They do their best here! They have great food options, great and hard working staff, keno to play, a bar to sit at and drink or a family welcoming seating area to eat at. It’s a great spot to hang out and honestly the only of its kind in kernersville. So set good expectations for yourself, see why they actually offer and enjoy yourself here.

Popped in today Jacob was an amazing server. I got fish & chips Hubby got a chicken melt sandwich recommendation from Jacob. Hubby loved it 😍 everything was great as always including the spicy fried pickles app. Highly recommend for good food & vibes

It was crowded which was understandable. Two tables became available and needed cleaning. We waited at least 15 mins just to get the booth cleaned. One server said 30 minutes when I asked. One server finally came over and cleaned the table. The other server came back and said it would take another 30 mins to order the food. My reply was you could have informed us earlier. Her entire demeanor was unacceptable. Her reply was I told you in the beginning it was 30 mins. We left cause she was RUDE. We will not be back.

Overall experience…mediocre. I have not been to J Butler’s Restaurant in Kernersville NC in a very long time. I remember they always had a good crowd, an upbeat atmosphere, and the food was good (especially the hot dogs). Well, many years later…they seem to be holding on to stay relevant. When my fam and I arrived on a late Saturday afternoon to eat, the restaurant was dead. There was no one to initially greet us and as we waited, we noticed the sanitation grade was a 90. Uh 🙄 Oh . Well, we had a very friendly waitress and the food was ok…but I was shocked to see how dead the restaurant was and how it seemed to have went down (appearance wise) over the years. Anyway, we ate. Our food was delicious! And our server Lexi was very friendly and courteous and made sure she kept up with refills and requests. We had a really fun time talking with Lexi about me not liking onions while my wife does! We always enjoy ourselves at J Butler's and Lexi's friendliness made the visit even better. We will go back!
