Jackson township compost facility

I'm sharing this experience hoping the township will recognize a very good suggestion I have for this facility. On Sunday April 21st. My wife and I were bringing branches and empty dried seed pods from one of our trees to compost. The attendant informed us that we could not dump pampas grass there, even though we didn't have pampas grass to dump. He misidentified the seed pods as pampas grass. We kept repeating that the empty seed pods were not grass. Long story short. The attendant called police and 3 police officers showed up and we were allowed to dump what we had. Please Jackson twp. DISPLAY VERY CLEAR PICTURES of what IS and iS NOT allowed to be dumped at that site. These pictures may help clear up any confusion from what a piece of paper says is allowed to be dumped there. This is a convenient place to bring your compost materials such as leaves and brush. They do not accept grass clippings. They have free compost and wood chips available. You must be a Jackson resident to use the facility.

Convenient and great quality soil & mulch. However typical that they are closed in the 2 days in middle of the week and also closed before the work day even ends.
