Jakes Burgers and Beer

I ate here a long time ago and thought I'd give it a try. From what I remember, it used to have much better Cheeseburgers. Granted, I ordered without mustard or mayo, but the BBQ sauce on the side added little flavor to a dry burger. Way to much bun. The Beer-Battered Onion Rings weren't bad, just the uneven size left the larger ones with uncooked batter near the onion ring. Shame. The half tea/lemonade was half ice, only saved by a large to-go cup. Over $20 makes it a no-go return for me. McKayla's service was good. Atmosphere quiet since there weren't many patrons, in the past when I've been here, it could get pretty rowdy in a pleasant way. Not sure what it is like with a crowd now days. I really can't speak to the rest of the menu, there just not the best burger on the planet.

I’ve been to several Jake’s Burgers and Beer locations, and they’ve consistently delivered solid, satisfying meals, so when we were looking for a quick bite in Mansfield, the choice was easy – we were all in agreement. The atmosphere was just what you’d expect from Jake’s – casual, welcoming, and comfortable. Lance, our waiter, did a very nice job taking care of us. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything we needed was handled promptly. Visually, everything looked great. My first visit to Jake’s. This facility location is nice and easy to get to and plenty of room. My Hickory Burger was less than amazing, it’s probably a 2 star burger at best. Mine was dry, meat and light on sauce. The menu looks good so I’d like to try another burger or two. Not marked off my list, but not tops either. They do have other menu items that look tasty, so I’ll try those as well.

I’ve noticed a significant inconsistency in quality between locations within this chain. The restaurant in Dallas consistently delivers excellent food and service, with everything operating at a high standard. Unfortunately, my experiences at the Mansfield location have been the complete opposite. On multiple visits, including this most recent one, my order has not been prepared correctly, and the overall atmosphere feels disengaged and poorly managed. There appears to be a noticeable lack of leadership and accountability at this location, which ultimately impacts both service and food quality. Location was easy to find, right off 360. Stopped by for late lunch, sat at the bar. Didn't take long for drinks and food to come out. Everything tasted great, not dry seasoned well. Would recommend.
