Jalea Bistro.

AMAZING! This is my favorite restaurant on Main Street in St Charles. Such a cozy atmosphere, delicious dishes, very kind and attentive staff. I love everything I've ordered here. The other night we ordered the chaufo aeropuerto, which is Peruvian fried rice, as well as plantain chips with dip and fries. Perfect date place, perfect spot for a family meal, for a get together with a friend, the atmosphere in this restaurant is amazing. We celebrated a birthday here the other night and they gave us a big piece of red velvet cheesecake (on the house) to celebrate! Makes you feel like you can settle in and stay as long as you want.

Awesome Peruvian restaurant with you food you can't find anywhere else The plantain chips and potato croquettes were delicious starters. As a group, we tried all 3 of the platos fuertes and you really can't go wrong with any of them. All the dishes were super flavorful and plenty of food to go around. Even the cocktails were super tasty, with Peruvian ingredients, like Inca Cola (Which is wonderful if you've never had it before). Cannot recommend enough, especially to those who want to break out of their comfort zone and try something new.

Just a great experience. The service was fantastic and he was solo doing everything from making drinks to running food. The food was amazing across each dish. Appetizers to mains to the drinks were superb. It is a cozy place with seating for no more than 50 or so. A couple window seats to watch the main street. All the dishes had seasoning that was incredible .

An absolute symphony of flavors! Everything was cooked to perfection. The drinks were delicious. The owner was exceedingly friendly and genuinely happy to see us. Definitely one of my favorite places!

Went there to celebrate for my Birthday and it did not disappoint! Everything from appetizers to the dessert were absolutely amazing! I had the pork chop and my boys had the half chicken and both dishes were flavorful! Our server, Luis who I believe is the father of the chef was extremely sweet and attentive. I highly recommend this place and look forward to going back. My photos does not do justice for the food and I forgot to take photos of the appetizers and drinks! 🤦🏽‍♀️
