Jalisco Restaurant

Benn coming here since I was a kid. And then brought my kids up until they grew up. Still love coming here. They always let my hubby order the child's plate, cup of chili broth and order of corn tortillas. Been getting the same meal his whole life and they never complained. Would highly recommend to anyone. They also have the best enchiladas, and best thin tortilla hard taco shells, IMO.

I was in KCK for no particular reason and decided to stop by a Mexican restaurant to assess its quality. Upon arrival, I noticed the establishment's exterior appeared decent, and then I saw the sign claiming it to be the best Mexican restaurant in Kansas City. Upon entering, I was immediately struck by the retro ambiance, reminiscent of the 1970s, with outdated decor and a slightly worn-down appearance. However, the staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, despite seeming understaffed, and there were three or four other occupied tables. The pork was satisfactory, the cheese was clearly shredded and melted on top of the burrito, and the chips and salsa were unremarkable. Overall, I concluded that the restaurant's burrito offerings were average.

This place is amazing and has a very '70s vibe. The food is delicious. I will definitely come here again. Five stars for sure! I can't wait to eat here again. Please be kind to Tonya because she's doing all the hostessing, bartending, expediting and waitressing. Delicious house margarita, fresh guacamole the end.

Friendly staff, very clean, and serves authentic food. As for the owners, they are very kind, friendly, and generously helpful when they can be. My husband and I rent a small studio apartment above the restaurant. We rent from the Jalisco's. Their rates are very reasonable. I would at this time like to thank both Mr. and Mrs. Jalisco for giving us a chance to rent from them. I want to say "Thank you and God bless you both." They may not realize how much they are such a God sent. If it hadn't been for them my husband and I would more than likely still been homeless. We had been homeless for almost 2 yrs. Great tacos! The lunch buffet is one to enjoy. Get here early, the line is sometimes long, but the food is always worth the wait. Service is excellent, friendly family run restaurant.
