Jasmine and The New Taste

Jasmine Thai is a go-to spot whenever I’m craving flavorful Thai food. Their yellow curry is absolutely irresistible—rich, creamy, and packed with the perfect balance of spices. It's definitely a dish I always recommend. I’m also a huge fan of their lunch specials, which offer great value without compromising on taste. The tofu appetizers are a must-try, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Whether you’re a regular or trying it for the first time, Jasmine Thai consistently delivers delicious dishes that keep me coming back for more. Also, their food is great for take-out! If you don’t want to dine-in, just take it home. 😉

I came to the restaurant with a party of 6. The food was brought to our table in a reasonable amount of time after we ordered, and everyone was satisfied with the quality of their meals. Definitely order the Thai tea as your drink! The staff members were also incredibly friendly, attentive, and grateful for our patronage.

I have been going to Jasmine for at least the past 7 years, multiple times a month to either pickup, eat in or order via food delivery. Every time I catch a cold, their Chicken Tom Yum soup has me feeling better the next day (seriously, this soup is magical, I ordered it last night and am feeling SIGNIFICANTLY better today, get the soup at medium spicy!). The owner and staff are very sweet, and their food has never been less than perfect. Their prices are very reasonable and I got everyone at my work hooked on their lunch specials. This is the place I take friends from out of town every time. If you haven’t tried this place, you are totally missing out.

Overall good foods and great service. It’s a little too salty and the soup is too sour. But the taste is good and fresh. I like they use mugs for hot water. It’s good for health and environmental friendly! The service here is very good! There are free street parking and a parking building nearby for first 2 hours free!

My husband and I love yellow curry. We have only had Thai in Orange County and we had our share of favorite spots but since we moved to Bakersfield we hadn’t had any Thai until last night. I had a craving and so we came to Jasmine and The New Taste. We were the first diners of the hour and then a few other guests came in and out mostly picking up their To-Go orders. One other group came in and dined-in but otherwise it was just my husband, our 3 year old and I. We both ordered the yellow curry with chicken (mine mild and his medium) and a chicken fried rice for our daughter. The staff was very friendly and served us quickly.
