Jefferson County Highway Department

I went to the Highway Department for the hazardous waste drop-off. I was about 40 minutes in line. The people were quick and efficient, there were clear signs, and everything went smoothly. One gentleman from the Department walked down the line of cars cheerily greeting everyone as they waited, making sure everyone was OK.

Went for the household hazardous waste event, no one is here. One sign, no information other than a phone number where no one picked up.

Going up over the hills on 126 and and went to go around a plow with a dotted line and the plow literly almost hit us, they put NO signal light on at all and clearly wasn't paying attention. Thank God my husband was paying close attention or could of been a horrible tragedy

I've only had to call a few times over the years and each time they've been terrific. Quick call backs, resolutions and friendly attitudes go a long way in my book. Good work!
