Jerk Machine at Ft Lauderdale

Let me first say the people in here were very nice and personable BUT the fried chicken was so dry it was inedible. It also had no seasoning. Im not sure if it wasn’t fresh chicken or they tried to refry it but I’ve never had fried chicken so dry and tough. I broke a piece of it to show the inside, no moisture ! I was so disappointed. Not to mention I purchased two of these dishes. Whoever is frying the chicken, needs to learn how to not overcook chicken.

While in Ft Lauderdale on vacation, I had a Lyft driver from Ocho Rios, I asked him where his favorite spot for Jerk Chicken was and he recommended Jerk Machine. The food was excellent! I was in Jamacia 3ish years ago and hadn’t been able to make or find jerk chicken that tasted like it did there. This tasted just like I remembered. The jerk sauce was perfect, the chicken was tender, they threw some ox tail gravy on the red beans and rice and that was unreal. Only wish I was here longer so I could try the oxtail too. Chickpea curry was delicious as well. Super friendly staff and a great experience. Thank you Jerk Machine!

Dry chicken. Doesn’t taste like authentic jerk. (Yes, I am Jamaican) ordered jerk chicken Gave me 3 big piece of some sort of roasted chicken with half a tablespoon of sauce. They only got third star because the natural juice was nice. Nah come back.

This little restaurant is one of those “don’t judge a book by its cover” places. I really enjoyed the vegetarían meal with chickpeas and plantains! I asked for it to be vegan, and it was very tasty! My food was to-go and for around $12, it was a great value. I would definitely recommend checking it out. :)

Don't let the outside fool you! Some of the best Jamaican food I've ever had. Took a chance on this place as it was highly rated by Google AND the locals. I'm usually not a fan of curry, but I got it and it was a perfect balance of flavors and not too heavy on the spice. The jerk chicken and sauce were delicious. Other dishes our group had were the oxtails and stew peas. The portions are really large and could be shared unless you are super hungry...or hungover. The prices aren't bad either! There was only one lady working the front, so the service was a little slow. But it was definitely worth the wait.
