Jersey Mike's Subs

We ordered from Jersey Mike’s for a team lunch and we got a variety of sandwiches. Everything was ready for pickup, condiments, plates, utensils, etc. when we arrived. Food was fresh and prepared as expected with tons of meat, cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato on each sandwich. It was a hit and everything was delicious. 😃

My first time at this Jersey Mike's located at Hunters Woods Plaza in Reston, VA. The location is surrounded by multiple fast-food restaurants; so competition for traffic makes it challenging when choosing what to eat. The food and service were good. I appreciated the entire crew was on hand to prepare and deliver a sandwich made to order. Their teamwork was lightning-quick. The sandwich was as I expected from any Jersey Mike's. That is it was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. I ordered the giant, by the way, so you know I was hungry.

This Jersey Mike’s location has serious issues with staff, consistency, and leadership. The team is very young, clearly inexperienced, and lacks any drive or urgency. Every time I visit, the sauces are overspread on every single sandwich, and they never seem to have basic ingredients like green bell peppers or bacon ready. Online orders are almost always wrong, which shows a lack of attention and care. The overall attitude and leadership here are in the gutter, and it’s obvious. I honestly hope Regional steps in soon to fix things, because if this doesn’t change, I won’t be coming back to this store anymore.

I went to this store today at 8:14 pm. As soon as I entered, there were three employees inside—one was mopping the floor, another was cleaning the refrigerator, and the third I’m not sure what he was doing. The one who was cleaning the refrigerator started giving me attitude and shouted at me, asking, “What do you need?” in a very rude way. I explained that I had just walked in and was still looking at the menu, but he continued slamming towels on the refrigerator and yelling, “What do you need?” I felt very uncomfortable and even scared, as if I wasn’t welcome there. I asked the employee who was mopping the floor if I could have the rude employee’s name or speak with the manager. I ordered Chipotle chicken steak and they gave me with the beef. I'm not allowed to consume beef because of my religion and my 20$ sandwich went to trash. I wish I could get my money back or a new sandwich but they don't answer any calls. I had a very poor and frustrating experience with this location. Update: the owner is really nice and they truly value their customer. Because of their kind gesture I will continue to visit this store.
