Jim 'N Nick's Bar-B-Q

Honestly, Jim 'N Nick's in Auburn is easily one of my favorite BBQ spots. The food is incredible; you haven't lived until you've tried those warm cheese biscuits they bring out, and the brisket is always super tender and smoky. The whole vibe of the place is really laid-back and comfortable, making it a great spot to just hang out and eat. What really made the experience stand out this time, though, was the service; the host was seriously so sweet and helpful from the moment we walked in, and our server Maddox was absolutely amazing. He was super attentive and made the whole meal even better!I’d honestly love to be served by him again next time. Between the great atmosphere and the top-tier food, it’s definitely a 10/10 for me.

Service was prompt. Server took my drink order only a few minutes after being seated. Then followed up with the meal order which showed up less than five minutes later. The server came by several times to check on me. I ordered the lean brisket plate with collard greens and macaroni and cheese. It came with three sweet corn muffins. Brisket was lean and quite tasty. Collard greens were prepared perfectly. Not overcooked and I did not taste sugar. The macaroni and cheese was a little bit off. Something about the cheese blend tasted creamy almost like mayonnaise, which I did not care for. The muffins were delicious. I’m afraid if you put 6 in front of me, I would eat them in 5 minutes. I definitely recommend this restaurant and will return.

I’ve never eaten at Jim N Nick’s before but by far this was probably the best first experience I could’ve asked for. Jim N Nick’s is one of those places that just feels right the second you walk in. The smell of the bbq hits you immediately, the atmosphere is super chill, laid back, comfortable, and the food never misses honestly. The pulled pork is smoky and juicy, the ribs are fall off the bone good, and the sides actually taste homemade. And those cheese biscuits deserve all the hype (better than kfc imo) I could honestly make a meal out of just those. What stands out more than the food is the service but someone in particular that helped me and made my fish impression of this joint really spectacular. Trinity is an incredible worker and it shows. The Auburn Jim N Nicks is one of the best BBQ restaurants I have ever been to. The brisket is so delectable and juicy, and you can tell they make everything fresh. Also the service is wonderful! Morgan was our server, and she was especially attentive!
