Jim 'N Nick's Bar-B-Q

It was an okay experience. Did not enjoy the counter order - pay and tip before the meal style. Would have preferred full service restaurant experience with menu at the table. The parking lot entrance and exit is oddly placed especially trying to find the entrance. Meals are rather expensive. Brisket was the best item we ordered. Pulled pork was just average. Fries were okay. Greens were average. Not a fan of the mini sweet muffins. The booths and inside decor were terrific. We will probably eat at other bbq restaurants before coming here again. It’s not bad though just not worth driving across town. Teds and big Bob gibsons are much better bbq in my opinion.

Walking into the restaurant, the first thing that stood out was the lack of any wait. Even during what should’ve been a busy time, I was seated immediately, which already set the visit off on the right foot. The staff was genuinely attentive from the moment I sat down — checking in without hovering, answering questions, and making sure everything was taken care of before I even had to ask. What really surprised me was how fast the food came out. From placing my order to seeing the tray hit the table, it couldn’t have been more than five minutes. Not the rushed, thrown-together kind of fast — more like a kitchen that actually knows what they’re doing. The plate itself was a full spread. If you haven't tried them out, you're missing out! Went tonight for the first time and everything we had was really good! It's counter service but there are a lot of nice people in the dining area keeping the flow going and getting you whatever you need. The food was excellent and the staff were really nice! That's a win win in my opinion! Will definitely be back and totally recommend!

It's a great sign when you can actually see and smell the smoke from the barbecue cooker outback. And the taste comes through in the meat! The baked potatoes are as big as your foot. Roving servers ensure that every need is met as you chow down on this delicious 'Q. Plenty of covered outdoor seating away from traffic. Since this is a new spot, obviously everything is sparkling and clean. We will definitely be back!

I’d give Jim & Nick a solid experience overall. Our server was very nice and friendly, even though a few things were forgotten along the way. Unfortunately, they had run out of potatoes, and they were also out of deviled eggs, which was a bit disappointing. Still, the service attitude was positive, and the place has a good vibe. While it wasn’t a five-star visit for me, I’d be open to coming back and giving it another try, hoping for a more consistent experience next time.
