Jimmie's Pizza West Hartford

Some places are stuck in time in the worst ways, and some places are stuck in time in the best possible ways. Jimmie's is definitely the latter. 36 years I've been eating Jimmie's pizza, and it's still exactly as I have always remembered it. Quality, tasty food served up by a great staff in a place that instantly makes you feel at home. No gimmicks, no frills here, just quality pie served up by quality people. Long live Jimmie's Pizza! Oh and the jukeboxes are full of quality tunes too!

The staff/owners were super nice and friendly. Very interesting style of pizza. At first it looks like a traditional pan style, but the crunch is real, you could hear me bite into it a block away. Low hydration. Light sauce. Unfortunately the cheese is not very good quality - congealed quickly. Overall definitely worth a stop. This one will have you a bit confused but in a good way!

Decor is a little outdated, but the restaurant is CLEAN. Staff is super friendly. I got a small pizza (eggplant and mushrooms). The crust was amazing, perfect amount of sauce and they were not stingy with toppings. I also got the wings and WOW. Some of the best in area. Juicy, CRISP, and seasoned perfectly (dry rubbed spice) truly amazing. Run, don't walk!!
