Jimmy Hula's Oakleaf

Was craving tacos and decided to give this spot a shot. The staff was very friendly and helpful. This was our first time here and they were very helpful with explaining some of the taco options. The atmosphere was nice. You can sit inside or outside on the patio. We decided to try a decent variety of tacos. Unfortunately most of our food was cold when we received it which kind of took away from the experience. I think by ordering a couple different types it might have made it challenging for the kitchen staff to get everything out at the same time and still be hot. I think next time if I return I'll only order one type of taco in hopes it all comes out fresh and hot. Would encourage others to try for their own experience but recommend sticking with one type of taco.

Used to come here a lot. Tonight I was reminded why we stopped. They took mine and my husband’s order. No issue. He waited 10 minutes, got cold fish on his tacos. I waited 10 more minutes only to be told the ran out of the major components for my food their coleslaw) and I had to substitute with lettuce. Underwhelmed. This is a bad management issue. 14:59 and counting on this place. Maybe the next place will do better.

Jimmy Hula! You know you are wrong for placing burnt tortilla chips in our to-go order. Also, instead of placing pieces of 2 decent cuts of corn, I get a piece of the end of the tail of corn. Hadn’t been to this location since it 1st opened and this presentation is not very impressive in making me a return customer. Those tortilla chips should’ve been discarded!

This used to be our favorite spot to come whenever visiting the area. The tacos were world renowned. However, this past time we came we waited 40 minutes for the kids meal, 55 minutes for 2 taco dinners, one of which was cold, and never received the 4th meal by the time we asked for a refund. They kept telling us we were next the entire time and they were really backed up in the kitchen. This is what the restaurant looked like when we went, so either they had a hundred online orders to fill, short staffed, or they just didn’t care. We warned the patrons walking in about our wait and they came out a few minutes later unable to even get a drink. Sad to see such a great taco place going downhill.

I almost don't want to share this review because I don't want to lose our spot at trivia night! But the food is fantastic, burgers, tacos, all of it! The staff is so friendly, and it is an awesome atmosphere. Highly recommend!
