Jimmy's Hot Dogs

This hole in the wall hotdog place is delicious! Small owned and makes everything fresh, you can tell. 10/10 might go back there tomorrow hahaha YUM the onion rings were fire, the dogs were good. I want to try the buffalo chicken sandwich next. He peels the potatoes and cuts the fries right there. ✅️

It was a very very long day on my first day at the new restaurant and after helping the crew there prep and do all the work for my morning shift and getting called to cover an elderly woman's roof that was leaking. I still had laundry to do and a little minor shopping and as I was walking home I came across Jimmy's on University and pulled up to the window not knowing that it was for doordash. For those that know cuz I have my little cart until and well at first they didn't realize there was a guy out here cuz I look pretty bad, I mean I was in a bad shape. They probably thought I was some guy trying to get a free burger but I kept knocking cuz I didn't want to bring my buggy inside. I will tell you, the food was really good. I had an Italian beef sandwich. It was really good. I also had a Polish dog Chicago style. It was really good. Now, was it the best I’ve had? No. But, it was really good. I had to drive 15 minutes to eat here. Would I do that again? No. However, if I were in the area, I would definitely stop and eat here. The place was clean inside. The staff were very nice. If you were coming here, expecting for it to taste exactly like Chicago, You’re going to be slightly, very slightly disappointed.

I work on that property often and call ahead orders soo its ready on my lunch. Usually works out fine. Today however my fried were warm but stale, unsalted and even though I ordered multiple things and dont eat ketchup or marinara they were gonna charge me for ranch. How much stuff do I have to purchase before thats included when I wanted no other dining sauce? And the fries were so chewy and stale I threw them out. Lost my business today. Food is good i won't try and say it isnt.
