I tried JITESKITCHEN / Restaurant and Event Catering Services for the first time because I wanted to support a local African business. I ordered two meals (vegetable stew and suya). Unfortunately, the meat in the vegetable stew was very hard and seemed undercooked, and both dishes had an unpleasant smell and unusual aftertaste that made them difficult for me to eat. While waiting about 15 minutes, I also felt uncomfortable because the woman who appeared to be the owner was loudly speaking to an employee in front of customers. I called to give respectful feedback, but was told to return so another customer could taste the food before any refund would be considered. Walked in randomly after I saw this place on Google Maps. Got the assorted meats, egusi soup with goat, and fufu. Everything was delicious and I’m grateful they were open! I’d say worth the price for an authentic meal.
My husband and I visited this restaurant last night. I was immediately turned off upon entry. The man who was working up front did not greet us when we walked in. Instead, he walked behind the counter and stared at us until we said something. He was very uninviting when he should’ve been happy to have some customers because there was absolutely no one here to purchase food. 2 red flags already but I was being open to the fact that maybe he just had a rough day and he didn’t mean to be so stale. My husband mentioned that it was our first time and that he didn’t want to mispronounce any of the dishes out of respect so he showed him the pictures with the name of what we were interested in. The 1st item that we wanted to order was unavailable. He said “We don’t have It!” Okay that’s somewhat u

That prompted me to make an order for my event which she delivered with the same standard, on time and everyone who tasted her food was satisfied. I am planning to use Jites Kitchen for my grand event coming soon and I am looking forward to her stellar services! If you are in the Atlanta area you should visit Jites!
