JL Japanese Express

Japanese Express really hit the spot. The food was yummy and full of flavor, and the sushi was the highlight for me. The sweet potato roll was so good that I am still thinking about it. I was also impressed that they offer a bento box. I plan to try that on my next visit. This place is definitely worth coming back to for more. Especially because you get a lot of food for the price.

Great value, fast service, and tasty food! JL Japanese Express is exactly what you’d expect from a quick-service Japanese spot—and honestly, it delivers. It’s not a fancy or high-end place, but if you’re looking for something fast, affordable, and delicious, it’s a solid choice. We ordered a little bit of everything, and everything we tried was flavorful and satisfying. For the price and convenience, it definitely exceeded my expectations. I’ll be back when I want something tasty without the wait or the splurge!

The food is always great and freshly made! The staff is always so courteous. We've been coming here since this restaurant opened and never had a bad experience. The tornado roll is delicious and one of my favorites! My husband had the steak bento bix and he really enjoyed it. Will keep coming!

My daughter wanted to go to JL express, so we did. It's more of an order to go place but we ate inside. The lady there was very nice,and the food was pretty good. Miso soup, chicken bento box,orange chicken bento box,sesame chicken bento box, sushi ,salads,and an appetizer If you're in the area and would like a quick bite to eat, definitely stop by.

I’ve been eating here about once a month since 2021, every single time it is amazing. I like Japanese food, and all of the food I have tried here has been amazing. But, I am very picky about fried rice. I don’t like most fried rice from even Benihana, yet Japanese Express’ fried rice is better than any other rice I’ve had. Dine in is always a great experience, it is very clean and the staff is very nice! For take out, the food is neatly packed into bags and always warm. I could not recommend Japanese Express more! I would rather eat here than anywhere else in Columbus!! Thank you for being the goat!!! 🐐❤️
