Joe Chan's Bistro

My husband celebrated his 80th Birthday with his family (18 of us) in the private room. It had a TV so we could watch the football game. The food was very very good especially the crab rangoon, they actually had crab in them. The service was exceptional. One waitress for all of us and none of us had to wait for drinks or food. The appetizers came out right away. Our server was Dawn and she was so attentive and sweet. It was a wonderful experience!

TLDR: good food, great service, not too expensive. The crab Rangoons are AMAZING!! Drinks need a little help, as does atmosphere, but those won’t keep me from leaving a 5 star review! My bf was excited to try this place as it had been years since he had gotten to experience the ✨magic✨ of Joe Chan that he remembered from his youth 🤣. We started with drinks: He ordered a Pink Cadillac (Tequila, Triple sec, Sour mix and Cranberry) and I ordered a vodka soda with a lime. They were so incredibly strong that we both made faces upon first sip 😵🤣. The lime in my drink couldn’t cut the vodka. Good on them for making strong drinks, but we enjoy a well-made cocktail, and we couldn’t stomach these ones. First time trying...Extremely disappointed. Food was very bland. No taste at all. Small chicken fried rice lots of chicken was a large portion. Not a fan of the egg rolls, more spouts than anything but not very full. Crabmeat ragoons were full but no taste, we only at 2 out of a full order. General Taos chicken, big chunks of chicken. Sauce was not spicy at all and very thick...was not good at all.

This restaurant has a good atmosphere that is relaxed with dim lighting to set a good vibe throughout. The food was great. I had the servers recommended steak dish with the oyster sauce that was a 10 out of 10. Two of the kids had the sweet and sour chicken and my other two kids had a hotdog with white rice that they specially requested. The server was very nice and made sure we had everything we needed. The cook came out of the back and said hi to the kids and he gave them candy as we walked out the door! Great staff here and great business all around.

We both got combination plates for dinner. I got the Orange Chicken, and my wife had the Sweet and Sour Shrimp. We both felt the breading was too thick and we could not taste the protien. The crab rangoon was nice and fat with plenty of filling. The wait staff was fine and the atmosphere was also okay.
